Privacy Policy

The short version: Cog collects nothing. It makes no network connections, has no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. Cog does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no servers of its own and makes no network requests.

Data you enter

Text you paste or type into a tool, and the optional history of your recent conversions, are stored only on your device (and, if enabled, in your private iCloud backup as part of the app's local storage). This data is never sent to us or anyone else. You can clear your history at any time from Settings.

Clipboard

Cog reads the clipboard only when you explicitly tap “Paste,” and writes to it only when you tap “Copy.” iOS shows its standard paste notification when this happens. Cog never reads your clipboard in the background.

Purchases

Cog Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment information. Purchase validation happens on-device and through Apple's App Store; we receive no personal data from it.

Analytics & tracking

There are none. Cog contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

Children's privacy

Cog is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
